It’s no surprise that in Nashville winters, I don’t do lots of outdoor photography. But, that’s not to say it doesn’t happen at all! This was a January one year photo session in Nashville for Kennedy’s first birthday, complete with some family photos to document the occasion. My general rule-of-thumb is aiming for 50 degrees or warmer for outdoor photos. Why? It’s hard to smile and be happy, especially for babies, when it’s SO cold outside! This particular day offered some great sunshine and light, but it did get really cold with the wind picking up! These guys were all troopers, and made this shoot lots of fun, despite the cold weather!
