Wyatt | One Year Portraits

I recently shared Wyatt’s First Birthday Party, and at the party, Wyatt’s mom asked me which type of photography was my favorite to capture. I told her that while I truly love weddings and being a part of a couple’s big day most of all, when it comes to families, milestone sessions are my favorite. I love one year portraits and two year portraits because I get to document a little one doing what they do best: playing, laughing, and loving on their family. No, they are not always perfectly behaved, and not every session is easy, but every session is genuine and fun!

I was so excited that following that party conversation, Wyatt’s mom booked a session with me to document him turning one. This was earlier in the fall when mosquitoes were still out and we were all sweating like crazy, but these guys were such troopers! Even Wyatt loved dressing up and playing in the park despite the super warm temps. Here are a few favorites from our session at Ellington Agricultural Center.
