In February, Jen, Elizabeth, and I hosted a wedding shower for Mary. Jen and Elizabeth coordinated most of the details and I pretty much just cleaned the house and secured some mason jars. It was a fun and simply shower! We had a yogurt bar (refrigerated, not frozen) complete with strawberries, blueberries, granola, chocolate chips, and heath bar chips. Since Mary LOVES frozen yogurt, we decided this was the next best thing. Jen made cupcakes and cake balls, with cute little flags for the cupcakes. Elizabeth made a yummy coffee punch to go with it.
With burlap and white as our decoration base, we wanted something simple with small touches here and there. We used mason jars with votive candles, along with burlap flowers on the mantle. We used more mason jars for our activities (writing a note or blessing for the bride, and writing a date night idea for the bride and groom), and tied burlap ribbon around each jar for an added touch. We even got to use some flowers from Mary’s bridal shoot the day before. Elizabeth also planned a fun he-said-she-said game, complete with mustaches and red lips. Mary got showered with some great wedding gifts and we had a fun time with everyone!
