Leah and Jared tied the knot this weekend at Gabrella Manor in Birmingham, and their day was gorgeous! Leah was such an easy-going and laidback bride, which made it especially fun to work with her. The weather was warm, but certainly not as hot as one might expect. The forecast called for mid-90s, and we know what that can mean in Alabama. But, when we are constantly fighting spring rains, it felt as perfect as Birmingham wedding photography days can get.
I should mention, shooting this wedding 36 weeks pregnant (and 3 hours from home) had me quite nervous, so I enlisted a team to help. These girls proved to be the absolute best. Whitney was my incredible second shooter, who got several of the gorgeous images you’ll see below. And Megan, long-time photography friend, worked her tail off as my photography assistant: carrying gear, running back and forth, handing me water and lenses, fluffing dresses, and the list goes on and on! These girls are the reason I made it through this day without feeling 36 weeks pregnant! 🙂
From the stunning details, to the color scheme, to the yummy dinner and evening full of dancing, this wedding had it all. I mentioned on instagram or in their engagement session post, they are both Alabama grads! We all know I love my Bama brides!
Leah and Jared, I’m so grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of your day. I hope you enjoy these images as a sneak peek of your wedding gallery!
