Over Labor Day, we visited Alaska so that Nic could serve as best man in a friend’s wedding. These photos are a few of my favorites from the wedding day… of course I wasn’t photographing the wedding — These incredible guys were! But, it was a beautiful venue and wedding, and a great chance to get some practice and capture some Alaskan wildlife in addition to the folks at the wedding!
All the wedding guests took a wildlife cruise on the way out to the island. We got to see quite a variety of wildlife… it was pretty awesome!
Once we arrived at the island, it was quite chilly! Everyone quickly found their seats so the wedding could begin.
Just after the wedding, the sun came out at the perfect moment!
Since Terril and Moorea are both marine biologists, there were lots of themed details… like our table assignments. Nic and I sat at the “Wolf Eel” table!
I loved that the bride wore rain boots for some pictures… so I had to capture the moment.
Lindsay, Terril’s sister, and her fiance, Andy, joined us for dinner at the Wolf Eel table. 🙂
The Efird uncles could be found outside, enjoying the view and solving all the world’s problems.Â
We had a blast celebrating with Terril and Moorea. If you’d like to see more of Alaska, check out my Alaska album on smugmug.
