Emilee & Scott’s Birmingham Wedding at Shady Lane

Emilee and Scott had the sweetest wedding day in early March at The Barn at Shady Lane, my favorite Birmingham wedding venue!

It was chilly and the forecast called for rain, but these guys were in such great spirits about all of it, and it made for the most beautiful day! From handmade details to florals Emilee and her father did themselves, this wedding had so many personal touches. And I’m going to say bridesmaids who do yoga together in the getting ready room are surely friends for life!

Emilee said that when she woke up on her wedding day, it felt like a dream. She almost couldn’t believe that this was the day they had been planning over the past months.

Emilee and Scott grew up in the same church, and Scott’s best friends just happens to be Emilee’s older brother. Emilee and Scott were engaged in November, and tied the knot in March, just a year after they started dating! Nic and I were in the same boat, so I always love and appreciate a quick engagement and wedding. 🙂

Emilee couldn’t choose one favorite moment from the day, because it was all so special, but here’s what she had to say about what she will remember most:

I think the most memorable things were the sweet friends and family that were there to celebrate with us and how everyone was able to just have fun and enjoy the day.
