Have you ever wondered if it’s still possible to have gorgeous wedding photography on a day when it rains? Not just a little rain, but all. day. long? This September wedding had just that… all rain, all day. But, Ellie and Vincent had such a great attitude about the whole thing. They knew what was important and trusted me to get the photos we needed in the locations we needed to use, even if they weren’t ideal.
Here’s what Ellie had to say about the start to her day:
When I woke up on my wedding day… I immediately thought “Am I seriously getting married today?!” and “Is it actually going to rain as much as the forecast said it would yesterday?” The answer was “YES” to both of those questions!
Wedding Vendors:
I asked Ellie, “What will you remember most from her wedding day?”
” …How excited I was to finally see Vincent for the first time that day, the confetti (we still find it literally everywhere) & the rain causing us to change where we were doing the reception!”
Confession: It did actually stop raining for just a few minutes during the reception. Before the sun went down and we lost all possible light, I snuck the bride and groom outside for a few photos and it was perfect!
Ellie’s favorite moment from the wedding: “I loved that Vincent’s dad got to play the guitar and my dad got to sing during the ceremony. I also loved that kids from our children’s ministry read Scripture. Being at the reception and seeing all of our guests/dancing and just enjoying being married was my very favorite! I know other people would have eventually left, but I could have stayed there forever!”
Ellie and Vincent, y’all totally lived up to the camp director dream wedding… everything went off without a hitch, completely on schedule ;), rain or shine, and you kept the main thing the main thing. Praising God for your marriage and waiting expectantly to see how He uses you in ministry together!
